Bhatura is a fluffy, deep-fried Indian bread that is heavenly with chana masala. This dish is commonly known as Chole Bhatura from Punjabi cuisine and is famous for its tangy taste. Delicious bhature and chole are very popular all over India. Bhatura is made with maida, yoghurt, butter and baking soda. Other than that, there is another method with yeast.
In a bowl add maida, butter, curd, baking soda, sugar, and salt, mix everything well.
Combine well and add water little by little, knead and make it like a soft dough, cover the dough with a damp cloth, keep it aside for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, knead the dough once again, divide the dough into equal portions, dust with flour.
Roll it with the rolling pin around 5-inch diameter and 1/8-inch thickness.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan, place the bhatura in oil. Flip it once it puffs, fry till golden.
Serve hot with chana masala.
