White Sauce Pasta is one of the most popular pasta varieties in India, Red sauce pasta is the first popular pasta variety, which is also called tomato pasta, it is spicy and tangy. White sauce pasta is entirely different from red sauce pasta, It is creamy and rich in taste. Both pasta varieties are inspired by Italian cuisine. White sauce is also called Bechamel sauce.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Pasta
  • 1.5 cups Milk
  • 3 tsp Unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp All purpose flour / Maida
  • 1.5 tsp Oil
  • 4 Chopped garlic pods
  • 1/4 cup Chopped carrot
  • 1/4 cup Chopped capsicum
  • 1/4 cup Boiled corn
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Chili flakes
  • Salt as needed
Instructions
  1. Add water to a pan bring it to a boil.

  2. Once done, add 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp oil and mix.

  3. Add 1 cup pasta and cook on a medium flame for 10 - 12 minutes.

  4. Once done, drain excess water.

  5. Rinse with cold water and keep it aside.

  6. In a pan add 1 tsp oil, add 4 finely chopped garlic pods.

  7. Cook until raw smell leaves.

  8. Add 1/4 cup chopped capsicum, 1/4 cup chopped carrot, and 1/4 cup boiled corn.

  9. Cook on a medium flame for 5 minutes.

  10. Once done, keep it aside.

  11. Add 3 tsp butter to the pan.

  12. Once it melted, add 2 tsp flour.

  13. Combine and cook until raw smell leaves.

  14. Add half of 1.5 cups of milk.

  15. Once it thickens, add the remaining milk. Mix well.

  16. Now add required salt, 1/2 tsp crushed pepper, and 1/2 tsp chilli flakes and combine well.

  17. Add cooked vegetables and mix.

  18. Add cooked pasta, mix everything well.

  19. White sauce pasta is ready to serve.

Recipe Notes
  • Use penne pasta, it is the best with white sauce, apart from that you can use macaroni, shells, or rigatoni. Other pasta varieties are not suitable with white sauce.
  • Once the white sauce pasta is cool down, it becomes thick, you can add warm milk to adjust consistency.
  • You can add any of your favourite veggies, use finely chopped vegetables to get cooked quickly.
  • You can sprinkle some shredded cheese while serving, to make it cheesy.
  • Chilli flakes are optional, you can skip them if you prepare them for kids.
  • You can add either salted or unsalted butter. If you add salted butter, adjust the salt accordingly.
