Spicy evening snack
Add 1 cup of urad dal to a bowl.
Add 1 cup of raw rice.
Rinse them well and soak for 2 hours.
Then add to a mixer or grinder, sprinkle with a little water and grind finely. Add the required amount of salt and grind if desired.
Add 1 tsp of oil to a frying pan.
When the oil is hot, add ¼ tsp mustard seeds and ½ tsp urad dal.
Then add a little curry leaves, 2 green chillies and ½ onion finely chopped.
Saute until onion is tender.
Then add the mixture to the batter and mix well.
Add salt if needed and stir.
In a frying pan, add the required amount of oil to fry.
Once the oil is hot, pinch a small ball-sized batter and drop it in oil.
Put on medium heat and turn over from time to time.
When it becomes golden brown, drain the oil and take it apart.
In a mixing jar, add 3 chopped tomatoes.
Grind it nicely.
In a frying pan, add 3 tsp cooking oil.
When the oil is hot add ½ tsp mustard seeds, ½ tsp urad dal and few curry leaves.
Add 6 chopped garlic cloves.
Now add ½ chopped onion.
Once the onion and garlic are sauteed, add the tomato paste.
Bring to a boil and add the required amount of salt.
Add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder.
Add 2 tsp of chilli powder and mix.
Cover and simmer over medium heat or low heat for 10 to 12 minutes.
You can see the oil separating on the edges, delicious chutney is ready to serve.
