Bhindi Fry is a crispy side dish that goes well with rice. It is made with okra, masala powders, rice flour, and gram flour. Okra fry is a Punjabi special dish. There are different variations in the okra fry recipe, but it is commonly made with basen. Okra fry is prepared with sooji/rava too, but it is different from traditional bhindi fry.
Rinse and dry okras, and cut it into thin slices.
Once done add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, and required salt.
Mix well and add 2 tsp rice flour and 1/4 cup basen and Combine.
Add 2 -3 tsp of oil if required and coat well.
Heat oil in a pan for frying.
Fry okras on a medium-high flame, and stir occasionally.
Fry till it turns crisp and golden.
Drain off & serve hot.
