Ingredients
  • Idiyappam flour/ kozhukattai flour - ½ cup
  •  Sesame oil - 2 - 3 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
  • Urad dal - ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Dry chilli - 1
  •  Asafoetida - 1 pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Grated coconut - 4 tsp
  • Water - 1 cup
Instructions
  1. Place 1/2 cup of rice flour in the pan.

  2. On a low burner, fry for 3 to 5 minutes.

  3. Boil a cup of water in a pan.

  4. Add a dash of salt and one tsp of oil.

  5. Stir in the boiling water to the rice flour.

  6. Put the dough in a big bowl once it has come together.

  7. Knead it gently once it is warm enough to handle.

  8. Then shape it into tiny balls.

  9. Place the rolled dough on the idli plate after rubbing it with oil.

  10. Cook for 7-8 minutes after placing in the idli pan.
