Pizza needs no introduction, just delicious food with a crunchy crust, delicious cheese and favourite toppings. Definitely loved by everyone. Homemade pizza is easy and effortless.
In a bowl add 1 cup flour, 1 tsp yeast, 3/4 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp sugar.
Mix well and add 1/2 cup hot water, then knead it for 4-5 minutes and make a smooth dough.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it and set aside for at least 1 hour.
In a saucepan add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
Chop the tomatoes, dip them in boiling water and add 1 chopped onion and 5 garlic cloves.
Cook covered for 10-12 minutes.
Now peel off the skin and make it a fine paste.
Heat a pan and add the pureed tomatoes and bring it to a boil.
Add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, and 1/2 tsp salt and combine well.
Now add 1 tsp sugar, 2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp crushed pepper, 2 tsp tomato sauce and mix well.
Cook it on a medium flame for 10 to 15 minutes.
Once done keep it aside.
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan add onion, capsicum, and mushroom pieces.
Saute for a minute and add 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, mix well and keep it aside.
Preheat the oven to 425F/215C or Heat a pan with a wire rack inside for 10 minutes on high flame.
Punch the raised dough down and knead once again, then divide it into 2 pieces.
Spread the dough to a 9-inch size and grease the pizza pan.
Put the dough onto a pizza pan, press the edges.
Prick it with a fork.
Spread the required pizza sauce.
Add 2 slices of chopped mozzarella cheese and other sauteed toppings.
Add 2 slices of chopped cheddar cheese.
Add olives and sprinkle some oregano.
Keep the pizza pan inside the pan or oven.
Cook for 15-20 minutes on medium-high flame or bake for 12-15 minutes or till golden brown.
Once done transfer to a cooling rack and serve hot.
