Chilli Idli is an Indo-Chinese fusion dish, there are verities of idlis in South India, chilli idli is an entirely different one from all those traditional idlis. This can be done with the leftover idli or cold idli, do not use hot idlis, since it is not suitable for chilli idli. This is a snack item, lunch box dish, you can prepare this for dinner too. I use leftover idlis, to make this super quick dinner.
