Indian Style Tomato Spaghetti

Indian style Tomato Spaghetti is a blend of spaghetti with Indian herbs and spices. It is different from the usual Indian lunch items. It is a delicious, simple and filling meal.

Ingredients
  • 200 grams Spaghetti
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 Capsicum
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 cup Spring onion Chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
  • Salt as needed
Instructions
Preparation
  1. Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions in the pack or boil a lot of water in a pot, add 1 tsp of oil and a generous amount of salt and add the pasta. Cook for 10-12 minutes. When done, drain the water, rinse with tap water and toss with olive oil. Set aside.

  2. Chop onions and tomato and cut capsicum into your desired size. 

Method
  1. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan, add onions, saute till it becomes translucent.

  2. Add the spring onions and cook for a minute.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till the raw smell goes off.

  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook till it becomes mushy.

  5. Add salt, chilli powder and garam masala powder.

  6. Now add a little water, and cook until the oil oozes from the sides.

  7. Add the capsicum and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. 

  8. Add pasta, mix everything well.

  9. Cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium flame.

  10. Serve hot.
