Refreshing Indian Tea

Ingredients
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Cardamom - 6
  • Cinnamon - 1 piece
  • Cloves - 4
  • Ginger - 1 slice
  • Tea Powder - 2 tsp / as needed
  • Sugar as- 2 tsp / to taste
Instructions
  1. Add 2 cups of milk to a pan and boil it.

  2. Add 6 cardamoms to a crushing stone or mixie jar.

  3. Add 1 piece of cinnamon with it.

  4. Then add 4 cloves and finely grind them.

  5. Once done, keep it aside.

  6. Add 1 piece of ginger to the stone and crush. Then set aside.

  7. Add a cup of water to a pan and when hot add 2 tsp of tea powder.

  8. Boil for 2 - 3 minutes.

  9. Add the ground spices and ginger and mix well.

  10. Boil it over medium heat for 5 minutes or until it is reduced to half. 

  11. Then add 2 tsp/ required sugar and mix.

  12. When the milk boils, add it to the tea decoction.

  13. Boil on medium heat for another 2 minutes.

  14. Strain it with a strainer.

  15. Serve hot.
