Crispy Tindora Fry | Kovakkai Varuval | Dondakaya Fry | Fried Ivy gourd

Fried tindora is s yummy crispy Indian side dish that goes well with all kinds of rice items, it is an easy less time-consuming finger-licking dish from the kitchens of Andra.

Ingredients

  • Tindora-500 grams
  • Besan flour -4 tsp
  • Corn flour-1 tsp
  • Rice flour-2 tsp
  • Chili powder-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
  • Garam masala- ½ tsp
  • Salt-as needed
  • Oil – for frying

Method

Step by Step Pictures

1. Wash and cut tindora either lengthwise or roundels. Keep the other ingredients ready.

2. Add all the ingredients except oil, mix well keep it aside.

3. Heat oil in a pan for shallow frying, fry tindoras little by little, do not make it crowded.

4. Stir occasionally, fry it in 3 or 4 batches.

5. When it turns crisp and golden, remove and drain it in a paper towel. Serve hot.
