Rava Paniyaram/Sweet Bonda

Rava Paniyaram/Sweet Bonda is a tasty snack, made with rava/sooji, maida/all-purpose flour, sugar, baking soda, and cardamom powder, and it is deep fried in oil. If you want to make it healthy, you can add wheat flour on behalf of maida, and cook it in the appe/paniyaram pan, with little oil.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Rava/Sooji
  • 1/2 cup Maida
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Oil for frying
Instructions
  1. In a bowl add rava and maida, combine well.

  2. Add sugar, cardamom powder, salt, and baking soda.
  3. Add required water, and make it as a smooth batter.
  4. Keep it aside for 1 hour.
  5. Once done, the batter will become thick, if required add little more water.
  6. Heat oil in a pan.
  7. Scoop the batter and add it in the hot oil.
  8. Cook till golden brown.
  9. Now drain it in a paper towel, serve hot.

Method
