Homemade Strawberry Jam

Strawberry jam is a delicious fruit jam, you can prepare it in the home itself. There are many ways to use strawberry jam apart from spreading on bread slice. You can make fruit-flavored yogurt, to stuff on fresh toast or any other dessert sandwich, top with pancakes, to combine with ice cream, use it as salad dressing, fill crepes/cake layers, to make sandwich biscuits.

It is simple and easy, you can use fresh organic strawberry and make jam without any preservatives,  artificial color or flavor. You can store it in the refrigerator for 3 months.

Ingredients
  • 1 kg Strawberry
  • 1/2 kg Sugar
  • 1 Lemon
Instructions
  1. Rinse strawberries and remove the stem.
  2. Cut it into halves.
  3. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add the strawberries.

  4. Add lemon juice.
  5. Add sugar and mash it with a spatula.
  6. You can see strawberry chunks, it is okay to proceed.
  7. Cook for 35-45 minutes/cook till jam separates from pan.
  8. Sterilize a glass container and dry it.
  9. Cool down the jam and store.
