- 1/2 cup Grated coconut
- 2 tsp Chana dal
- 5 Red chillis
- 1 Garlic pod
- 1 piece Tamarind
- Salt as needed
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Few Curry leaves

Heat oil in a pan, add chana dal and roast for 1 to 2 minutes.

Add the red chillis, stirring quickly, add the garlic and turn off the heat.

In a mixer jar, add roasted chana dal, red chilis, garlic pod, tamarind and salt.

Add grated coconut and make it a smooth paste.

Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds when it pops add curry leaves.

Now add the seasoning with chutney, serve hot with idli or dosa.

1. Heat oil in a pan, add chana dal and roast for 1 to 2 minutes.
2. Now add red chilis, give a quick stir.
3. Add garlic pod, and turn off the flame.
4. In a mixer jar, add roasted chana dal, red chilis, garlic pod, tamarind and salt.
5. Add shredded coconut.
6. Make it a smooth paste.
7. Heat oil in a small pan, add mustard seeds when it pops add curry leaves.
8. Now add the seasoning with chutney, serve hot with idli or dosa.
