Crispy Prawn Fry

Crispy prawn fry is tasty seafood made with prawn/shrimp. You can use any kind of prawn, I have used small size prawns. It goes well with biriyani, fried rice, noodles or it is a tasty appetizer.

Ingredients
  • 15-20 Prawns
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Curry masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Rice flour
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tsp Corn flour
  • 3/4 tsp Maida
  • Oil for shallow frying
  • Coriander leaves to sprinkle
Instructions
  1. Clean the prawns and drain water completely, if you want you can keep tail, otherwise remove it.
  2. Add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, red chili powder, and curry masala powder.
  3. Combine everything and keep it aside for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Once done, add corn flour, rice flour, and maida. Sprinkle little water if needed.
  5. Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan.
  6. Combine everything well and fry in batches. Shrimp will cook quickly.
  7. Cook both sides for a minute or a couple of minutes.
  8. Sprinkle some coriander leaves and serve hot.

Method
