Coconut Chutney is delicious in Saravanapavan hotel. Many types of chutneys are prepared in Tamil Nadu, especially coconut chutney and tomato chutney, which are often made at home. If it is served with a slightly different taste than making the regular coconut chutney, the people will love it.
Some Tips to Make Delicious Coconut Chutney
- Use chopped or shredded coconut to make chutney.
- The taste will be immense if you make coconut chutney with freshly grated coconut.
- Green chillies can be added according to the taste.
- Make chutney using a small piece of ginger.
- You can add a little garlic with ginger if you like.
- Add only one shallot to add flavour to the chutney.
- Add the ingredients to a mixing jar, grind once, and add water.
- Grind the coconut without being too fine.

Idli and dosa side dish
- Coconut (grated) - 1 cup
- Green chillies - 5 / required amount
- Fried gram - ¼ cup
- Ginger - 1 small slice
- Shallot - 1
- Tamarind - a small piece
- Salt - as required
- Cooking oil - 1 tsp
- Sesame oil - 3 tsp
- Mustard seeds - ½ tsp
- Urad dal - ¼ tsp
- Curry leaves - Few

In a pan heat 1 tsp of cooking oil.

Add 5 green chilis and roast on medium flame.

Once done, keep it aside.

In a mixer jar add a cup of grated coconut.

Add ¼ cup of a roasted gram.

Now add a small piece of ginger.

Add 1 shallot and a small piece of tamarind

And then add the required salt.

Grind once without adding water and now add little water and grind.

Keep it in a bowl and mix with a little water if needed.

In a frying pan, add 3 tsp of sesame oil.

Heat the oil and add half 1 tsp of mustard seeds.

When the mustard seeds crackle, add ¼ tsp of urad dal and a little curry leaves.

Mix the seasoning with the chutney.
