Stuffed Chili Bajji is a perfect tea time snack, banana pepper filled with potato, onion, spices and herbs dipped in gram flour batter and deep-fried in oil. I tried it once last month, it came out very well. I made small alterations according to my taste.
Notes
- I have added raw onions, you can also saute it for a few minutes.
- While making bajji batter, I have added both chilli powder and red chilli powder, for spiciness and vibrant red colour, adding red chilli powder is optional.
- Mix the batter in medium thick consistency, if the batter is thick the outer layer may be hard, if it is too thin, bajji may break in oil.
- You can skip stuffing for plain chilli bajji.
- Adjust the chilli powder according to your taste.
- If the chilli is spicy deseed and blanch it in boiling water for a few minutes, this will reduce the spiciness of peppers.
