Burger buns are soft and fluffy buns, we prepare them with all-purpose flour, yeast, sugar, and oil. It is slightly sweet and perfect for burgers and other sandwiches. There are many different buns, they are also called rolls, I have prepared Eggless burger buns, you can also prepare buns with eggs.
Many different buns are prepared all over the world, especially in India, sweet buns are available in tea stalls, Iyengar bakery is popular for its kara bun (spicy bun), tutti frutti buns are available in supermarkets. Apart from these meat-stuffed buns, egg stuffed buns are also popular. Eggless burger buns are light and fluffy, it is far better than store-bought buns, you can prepare it at home, with easily available ingredients.
Notes
- While preparing buns, you can use active dry yeast or wet yeast, do not use instant yeast.
- You can knead the flour with a hand mixer, or a bread machine.
- Proofing time is approximately 2 hours, the dough should almost double in bulk, it may differ based on flour, kneading, and the weather conditions.
- You can divide the dough into 8 pieces if you want small buns.
- You can replace oil with butter.
- You can brush with melted butter or egg yolk on top of the buns.
- Sesame seeds are optional.

- 1/2 cup Warm water
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 1 pack Active yeast (7 grams)
- 2 tsp All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Water
- 2 cups All-purpose flour (300 grams)
- 1/4 cup Milk powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Sesame Seeds
- 1 tsp Oil to brush on top

In a bowl add 1/2 cup warm water (100 - 110 F Approx.)

Add 2 tsp sugar.

Add 1 pack of active dry yeast, mix until sugar dissolves.

Keep it aside for 10 minutes.

In a pan add 2 tsp all-purpose flour.

Add 1/2 cup of water and cook on low flame.

Cook for 1 - 2 minutes or until it becomes a thick paste.

Once done, keep it aside.

In a wide bowl add 2 cups of flour.

Add 1/4 cup milk powder.

Add 1/2 tsp salt.

Combine everything well.

Add activated yeast and add 3 tsp oil and mix well.

Add prepared flour mixture.

Knead and make a smooth dough.

Brush with oil on top, cover, and keep it aside for 2 hours.

Once the dough is doubled in bulk, punch down.

Knead well once again.

Divide into 6 equal portions (110 grams each approx.)

Roll smooth dough balls.

Keep it in a lightly greased or lined baking tray.

Cover and keep it for second proofing for 30 minutes.

Once done, brush with water on top.

Sprinkle some sesame seeds.

Preheat the oven to 180 C /360 F.

Bake for 25 - 30 minutes.

Once done, take it out, cool down completely.
