Wheat semolina kesari is a dessert made with wheat flour, sooji, and sugar. It can be made very quickly and easily. It tastes like a combination of wheat halwa and kesari. 

Notes

  • To make wheat rava kesari use nice semolina.
  • In addition to cashews and almonds, you can add pistachios and raisins.
  • Fry the semolina in ghee for 2 – 3 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Fry wheat flour until the raw smell goes.
  • Add boiling water and stir until the semolina becomes soft.
  • Add ghee generously to make kesari delicious.

Ingredients

  • Rava – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Wheat flour – 3 tsp
  • Ghee – 5 tsp
  • Cashew nuts – ¼ cup
  • Chopped almonds – ¼ cup
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

Method

  1. Heat 4 tsp ghee in a pan.
  2. Add ¼ cup of cashew nuts and ¼ cup almonds and fry until golden brown. 
  3. Add a cup of semolina and fry until fragrant. 
  4. Add 3 tablespoons of wheat flour and fry until the raw smell leaves.
  5. Then add 3 cups of boiling water.
  6. Cook until semolina becomes nice soft.
  7. Add a cup of sugar and stir together with the semolina.
  8. Now add 1/2 tsp cardamom powder and 1 tsp ghee.
  9. Cover and simmer on low heat for two minutes.
  10. Delicious wheat rava kesari is ready to serve.
