Some Tips to Make Delicious Gulab Jamun

  • I use Everyday milk powder to make gulab jamun instead you can use any other milk powder.
  • You can add 1 ¼ cup to 1 ¾ cup of sugar to your taste.
  • You can also add pinch saffron, along with cardamom powder in sugar syrup.
  • When the sugar is slightly thickened, turn off the stove and if it becomes 1 string consistency, it may crystalise as it cools.
  • Fry the Jamun on low heat. It is likely to burn out if put on high heat.
  • When adding the jamun, the sugar syrup should be warm, if it is cooled, heat it again slightly and then add the jamuns.
  • When kneading the dough, add milk little by little.
  • Do not knead with too much pressure like chapati dough, knead gently without cracking.
  • If there are any cracks, add a little more milk and knead it gently.
