Cauliflower 65 is a yummy snack and a side dish that goes well with fried rice noodles and pulao varieties. It is prepared from corn flour, maida, and other Indian spices. Cauliflower 65 is originated from chicken 65. Cauliflower is a versatile vegetable you can prepare lots of different dishes like cauliflower 65, cauliflower fry, cauliflower pulao, cauliflower gravy, cauliflower paratha, cauliflower crust pizza etc. It is the best vegetable to replace the meat. You can replace the cauliflower with potato or paneer pieces to make potato 65 or paneer 65.

  • Cut the cauliflower into small size florets, if it is large may take more time to fry.
  • Soak the florets in warm water for 2 – 3 minutes to remove pests from them.
  • Make the batter medium-thick, to avoid the hard outer layer.
  • It is recommended to add baking soda, for a crispy outer layer.
  • Orange food colour is optional.
  • While frying on medium-high heat for crispy & crunchy pakoda.

Ingredients 

  • 600 g Cauliflower (cut into florets)
  • 6 tsp Maida flour
  • 3 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tsp rice flour
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tsp tomato sauce
  • 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch Orange food colour (dissolve in a little water)
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • Oil for frying

Recipe
Step by Step Picture

1. In a bowl add 4 cups or enough water to boil the cauliflower.

2. Heat it up. Add half a teaspoon of salt and mix well.

3. Add cauliflower florets.

4. Cook on medium heat for 3 – 4 minutes.

5. Now drain the water and set aside.

6. In a bowl add 6 tsp maida flour, 3 tsp cornflour, 2 tsp rice flour, and the required amount of salt.

7. Add 1/2 tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of chili powder, and 1/2 tsp of coriander powder.

8. Add 1 tsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of chili sauce, 1/2 tsp of tomato sauce, 1/2 tsp of ginger garlic paste.

9. Mix by hand once.

10. After mixing it, add water and mix the flour to a moderate consistency without being too thick or watery.

11. Add 1/4 tsp of baking soda, a pinch of orange food color, and 1/2 tsp of vinegar and mix well.

12. Now add the cauliflower and mix well.

13. Heat the oil in a pan and add the prepared cauliflower pieces one by one.

14. Cook on medium heat for 3 – 4  minutes.

15. When it is golden, drain the oil and take it apart.

16. Delicious cauliflower 65 is ready.
