Onion Pakoda/Onion Pakora is a tasty and crunchy tea time snack, made with sliced onion, besan flour, rice flour, chili powder, chilis, and curry leaves. It is a quick and tasty snack, you can prepare it immediately for the surprise guests.
You can make wheat flour pakoda with the same recipe, replace the besan flour with wheat flour. You can add some vegetables like thinly sliced cabbage/carrot along with sliced onion to make vegetable pakoda.

- 2 Onions
- 1 small piece Ginger
- 2 Green chilis
- Few Curry leaves
- 1 tsp Fennel seeds
- Salt as needed
- 1/4 cup Gram flour
- 4 tsp Rice flour
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- Oil for frying

Thinly slice the onions and keep it in a bowl.

Add minced ginger, chopped green chilis, and curry leaves.

Add salt and fennel seeds.

Combine everything well.

Add gram flour, rice flour, and red chilis.

Sprinkle some water and combine well.

Fry the pakoda in hot oil.

Cook till golden brown on both sides.

Drain it in a paper towel, serve hot.
