Veg Pizza Pizza is a popular dish around the world. Pizza is becoming more popular in India nowadays than ever before. Pizza is made with maida, yeast, cheese, tomato sauce and vegetables. Usually, the pizza has to be baked in the oven other than that the pan pizza can be cooked in the pan itself, those who do not have an oven can make pizza in a large pot like an idli pan.

Pizza has three main features: pizza dough, pizza sauce and toppings. All of these can be made from scratch, except cheese and yeast other ingredients that are usually available in our home. Apart from vegetables, pizza can be made with chicken and sausage. 

Recipe Notes

  • You can make pizza in a similar way by adding wheat flour instead of maida.
  • The water should be warm when adding yeast, if it is too hot or cooled the yeast will not activate.
  • When kneading the dough, you can add a little olive oil or cooking oil if desired.
  • When making pizza sauce I have added sugar for a mildly sweet taste, and it is optional, you can also add less sugar.
  • Mozzarella cheese is commonly used for pizza, along with it you can add cheddar cheese. 
  • Apart from capsicum, onions and olives, you can also use mushrooms, pineapple, paneer, spinach and tomatoes.

Easy pizza recipe without oven

Ingredients
 Pizza Dough
  • Warm water - 1 cup - 125ml
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp
  • Yeast - 1 tsp
  • Maida - 1 cup - 140g
  • Salt - as required 
Pizza Sauce
  • Cooking oil - 1 tsp
  • Tomatoes - 2
  • Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
  • Italian seasoning - 1 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tsp
  • Salt - as needed 
Other Ingredients
  • Mozzarella cheese - as required
  • Capsicum - as required
  • Onion - as required
  • Olives - as required
  • Chilli flakes -as required 
Instructions
  1. Add ½ cup of warm water in a cup. Add 1 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of yeast and mix well.

  2. Set aside for 10 - 15 minutes.

  3. In a bowl add 1 cup maida and add the required amount of salt.

  4. Now add the yeast mixture. 

  5. Knead gently like chapati dough.

  6. Grease the bowl with oil and cover the dough and leave it for 1- 2 hours.

  7. Add 1 tsp cooking oil to a heavy saucepan.

  8. Heat oil and add 2 tomatoes to the mixer jar and grind finely. 

  9. Pour it in oil and boil for 2-3 minutes.

  10. Then add 2 tsp tomato sauce.

  11. Add a tsp of Italian seasoning with it.

  12. Add 2 tsp of sugar and the required amount of salt and boil for 5 - 6 minutes.

  13. Once the sauce is slightly thickened, set it aside.

  14. After 2 hours, knead the dough once again.

  15. Then spread the oil on a small plate and spread the dough, thickly on the sides.

  16. Prick the dough with a fork.

  17. Then add the required amount of pizza sauce.

  18. Sprinkle grated cheese on it.

  19. Add the sliced capsicum, onion and olives.

  20. Sprinkle the required amount of cheese again.

  21. Sprinkle little chilli flakes on it.

  22. Place a wide pan on the stove and place a small stand inside it.

  23. Cover and simmer over medium-high heat for 5 minutes.

  24. After 5 minutes put the pizza inside and cover and cook for 15 - 20 minutes.

  25. Delicious pizza is ready to serve.
