A burger is a dish made with vegetables, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and mayonnaise. Similarly, the vada burger is made by putting potato masala, onions, tomatoes, cheese, inside the vada instead of the bun. Make your own delicious burger and enjoy the taste.

 Some tips to make delicious Burger vada

  • When making the vada, make it as large as possible. 
  • Cut the vada in half and add mayonnaise along with tomato sauce if you like.
  • When seasoning potatoes you can add your favorite vegetables like carrot, peas, and cauliflower.
  • In the vada batter along with onion and coriander, you can add very finely chopped curry leaves and green chillis.

Ingredients
  • Urad dal - ½ cup - 100g
  • Onion - 1
  • Coriander leaves - a little
  • Rice flour - 2 tsp
  • Salt - as required
  • Cooking oil - as required
Potato Masala
  • Potatoes - 2 - boiled and mashed
  • Cooking oil - 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Garlic - 5 pods
  • Tomato - 1
  • Salt - as required
  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Chili sauce - 1 tsp
  • Soy sauce - 1 tsp
Other  Ingredients 
  • Tomato sauce -  as required
  • Cheese slices -  as required
  • Lettuce -  as required
  • Onion slices -  as required
  • Tomato slices -  as required
Instructions
  1. Rinse 1/2 cup of urad dal once and soak in water for 2 hours.

  2. Add 1 tsp of cooking oil to a heavy-bottomed pan.

  3. Add ½ tsp cumin seeds and a finely chopped onion.

  4. When the onion is lightly sauteed, chop 5 cloves of garlic and add it.

  5. Fry the garlic until raw smell leaves, and add 1 chopped tomato.

  6. Once the tomato becomes soft, add the required amount of salt, along with ¼ tsp of turmeric powder and 1 tsp of chilli powder.

  7. Stir in 1 tsp of chili sauce and 1 tsp of soy sauce.

  8. Add 2 boiled and mashed potatoes.

  9. Saute the potatoes until tender. Once done, set aside. 

  10. After 2 hours, add soaked urad dal to the grinder or mixer and grind finely.

  11. Then chop an onion finely and mix it with a little coriander, 2 tsp rice flour, and the required amount of salt.

  12. Mix well and then roll into large balls and place a hole in the middle.

  13. Add it to the oil on medium heat and fry till golden brown.

  14. Make vadas in the same way with all the batter.

  15. Once done, cut the vada in half. 

  16.  Then spread a tsp of tomato sauce.

  17. Put the required amount of potato masala on it and lightly press it.

  18. Then top with 1 slice of cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion one by one.

  19. Now cover the vada and serve.

  20. Delicious burger vada is ready to serve.

Method
