Indian Style Potato Wedges

Potato Wedges are popular in UK, USA, and Australia, it is wedges of potatoes either baked or fried, seasoned with onion powder, garlic powder or pepper, served along with the mayonnaise, sour cream or chili sauce.  Indian style potato wedges are fried potato along with Indian spices. It is a quick and easy, perfect for the kids evening snack, goes well with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Ingredients
  • 3 Potatoes
  • 4 tsp Plain flour/Maida
  • 2 tsp Rice flour
  • 2 tsp Corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Salt as needed
Instructions
  1. Wash and cut the potatoes into even size wedges.
  2. In a bowl add plain flour/maida, rice flour, corn flour, chili powder, salt, and water.

  3. Make it as a thin flowing batter. (thinner than bajji batter)
  4. Heat a pan with oil for deep frying. Dip the potatoes in the batter one by one and deep fry it.
  5. Fry for 2 or 3 minutes and flip it occasionally.
  6. Fry till it becomes golden in color.
  7. Drain with a paper towel. Serve hot.

Method
