Chicken 65  is a tasty appetizer or side dish that goes well with biryani, ghee rice, and pulao. It is a yummy dish but simple and easy to prepare. It is made with boneless chicken, turmeric powder and other Indian spice powders, and deep-fried in oil. You can make it spicy when it is served with ghee rice, veg pulao or any other less spicy foods. You can prepare it less spicy when you serve along with noodles, fried rice or any other spicy non-vegetarian meals.

There are so many varieties in chicken 65 preparation. You can marinate and fry, it is the simple method. Otherwise, you can marinate and fry the chicken and toss it in chopped garlic, green chilis, and chili sauce. While preparing marination you can add ingredients according to your taste and preference. If you want to make it more crispy you can add a tsp of rice flour and replace the egg with thick and sour curd. Another different way is to toss the fried chicken in sauteed onion, chili powder, and capsicum.

While preparing chicken 65 you can adjust the chili powder according to your taste. You can add half tsp of ginger garlic paste and garam masala to make it more flavorful. You can toss the fried chicken with soy sauce, chili sauce,  diced onion, and diced capsicum. You can add 1 tsp of rice flour for more crispiness. You can replace the egg with 1/4 cup of thick curd.

Crispy chicken fry

Ingredients
To Marinate
  • 500 grams Boneless Chicken
  • Salt as needed
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • 1 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed pepper
  • 2 tsp Cornflour
  • 2 tsp Maida/All purpose
  • 1 Lemon (juice)
  • 1 Egg
Other Ingredients
  • Oil for frying
  • Few Green chilis
  • Few Curry leaves
Instructions
  1. Wash the chicken, and cut into medium-sized pieces.

  2. Add required salt,1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chili powder.

  3. Add 1 tsp chili powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp crushed pepper.

  4. Add 2 tsp cornflour, 2 tsp maida, juice of 1 lemon, and 1 egg.

  5. Combine everything well.
  6. Marinate for 15-20 minutes.

  7. Heat oil in a pan, add chicken pieces one by one.
  8. After 1 or 2 minutes, flip it to the other side.

  9. Cook till golden color.

  10. Once done, drain t in a paper towel.
  11. Add a few curry leaves and few green chilis.

  12. Fry for a minute, and drain.

  13. Mix it with fried chicken.

  14. Serve hot.

Method
